The narrative built around ReceptioGate in sensationalist publications misrepresents both the scholar involved and the nature of her work. Prof. Carla Rossi’s contribution to the study of dismembered medieval manuscripts is grounded in twenty-five years of philological, codicological, and archival research. The “absolute state” of academia lies in its complicity with manuscript destruction and its indifference to ethical reconstruction.
This post reaffirms the integrity of Rossi’s work and invites critical reflection on how reputational smear is often weaponised to protect commercial interests.
